Next stop was Sweetcakes up North on Biscayne Blvd. It's a little hidden and hard to find but very worth it. It's a modern yet simple bakery with very friendly owners. The cupcakes were fresh and deeeelish.
After Sweetcakes, we drove back down to Miracle Mile in Coral Gables to the newly opened Cupcakes Nouveau. Huge space with great customer service and cupcakes named "Romeo & Juliet" (guava & cheese) and "Moulin Rouge" (red velvet & cream cheese). We ordered about 5 cupcakes to share and we all loved the Chocolate Chic. We were almost all cupcaked out but determined to explore the last two places including our personal favorite, Buttercream!
We headed down South to L.A. Sweets which is located in Sunset Place near the Urban Outfitters. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and we chose one mini of each to share. We all loved the Mango and the Chocolate Chip Rum was one of our favorites of the entire day.
The skies were getting dark and my ladies had had enough sugar but I was relentless! Our last stop of the day...Buttercream. Do try their vanilla with chocolate buttercream. THE best! With our cupcake leftovers in tow and a slight sugar buzz (all in the name of research), the Cupcake Tasting Tour was over.
Thanks ladies for joining me and little Matthew for being such a trooper!
Here's to Part II!
